It is the intent of the Tribal Council to enact this chapter to supplement the jurisdiction of the Tribal Court as authorized by Chapter 3.05 KTC, Tribal Court; the Children and Family Code (this title); and other provisions of Tribal law. If any provision of the Children and Family Code is found to be inconsistent with this chapter, the provisions of this chapter shall govern in family relations proceedings, unless there is good cause shown that application of this chapter would not be in the best interests of the child(ren).
