Any person may file a petition for guardianship. The petition shall be filed by the proposed guardian, KCWS on behalf of the child, or by the child if at least fourteen (14) years of age. If the guardian nominated by the child is not approved by the Court, the Court may appoint the guardian in the same manner as if the child were under the age of fourteen (14) years.
