The Indian Child Welfare Committee hereby creates the Tribal Foster Home Standards and Requirements for the purpose of establishing standards for Tribal foster homes/families to protect the best interests of Indian children and to promote the stability and security of the Karuk Tribe and its Indian families by fully exercising the Tribe’s rights and responsibilities under the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978.
